I began developing the musical and performance elements. I created two music demos to explore the emotional atmosphere of the project and to help guide the rhythm and movement of the dance performance.
One of the music demos was co-created with Angela from RCA Contemporary Art Practice
Female voices form the main melodic texture, supported by a deep organ foundation. Light metallic tones from the glockenspiel create small points of brightness, while reverb and delay effects add spatial depth and atmosphere.
One of the music demos was co-created with Jingpeng (LCC Music Production)
The flute and drum sounds is Jingpeng samples, and the marimba was played using a MIDI keyboard.
After developing the music demos, I started experimenting with dance movements inspired by the rhythm and emotional feeling of the sound. I explored slower body movements, controlled gestures, and more unstable or floating movements to reflect different psychological states. This process helped me think more deeply about how body movement, music, and visual atmosphere can work together to express inner emotional and mental transitions within the final animation.
